What we do
Visiting the Vivid Area of Lozells
Lozells has loosely defined boundaries within West Birmingham. It is located between the Aston and Handsworth districts. Together with East Handsworth, the area forms the Lozells and East Handsworth ward. The area is known for being ethnically diverse. There are three churches within the area: St Francis of Assisi, St Paul’s and St Silas’. Terraced houses make for most of the housing of Lozells, mostly built during the Industrial Revolution. There is a mix of council and private housing, with a touch of new post-war period estates and tower blocks. A notable site on Lozells Road is the Royal Oak pub with doorway designed by William Bloye.
