Living in Islington
Islington forms parts of the London Borough of Islington, and can be found in Greater London. Islington is mostly a residential district, though it is home to the Almeida Theatre, a wonderful place that showcases both musical and theatrical productions. A trip to Islington’s High Street shouldn’t be missed, if you’re in the area, as some of the many buildings here date back as far as the 16th century! For those with an interest in architecture, Islington has a lot to offer, with many Grade II listed buildings that can be viewed and toured. These include The Union Chapel, an 18th-century house on Terrett’s Place, the Camden Head pub, and St. Pauls Church. Islington is a place that crops up in many novels and books, including Nick Hornby’s About a Boy and Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. With so much history and culture to explore, it’s no wonder Islington is such a popular place to live!
