Highbury – the Loveliest Place to Call Home!
Highbury is a district that can be found in the London Borough of Islington. The first mention of Highbury in the history books was in the 11th century, making the town an incredibly old and wonderfully historic place to visit. From the original manor built here to the bombings which took place in the area during World War Two, there is a lot to be discovered about the history of this small town. Highbury attracts a lot of attention thanks to the Arsenal Stadium, which moved from its original location to the other side of Highbury. The area which once housed the stadium has become one of the most sought-after places to live and is an affluent area for both families and individuals. Highbury is mentioned in many books and films, including the movies Four Weddings and Funeraland Killing Her Softly, as well as in Jane Austen’s novel Emma.
