Hendon – The Home to Middlesex University
Hendon, based in the London Borough of Barnet, with the postcode of NW4, is situated approximately 7 miles outside of Central London. Being home to Middlesex University, the region has a heavy student population area, as well as being built up with shops, salons and restaurants. Hendon has excellent links to Central London and going out of London is served by Hendon Station which is a mainline station, as well Hendon Central Tube Station, which is served by the Edgware Branch of the Northern Line. It is around a 5 minute drive from nearby Brent Cross Shopping Centre and neighbours places such as Mill Hill, Colindale, Finchley, West Hendon and Burnt Oak. This area is very diverse and multi-cultural and possesses a lot of residential accommodations. Its main road link is the A41, also known as Watford Way and encompasses a few areas with it. It has major roads such as Church Road and Brent Street and possesses a heavy Orthodox Jewish population. Hendon also has a small church and a few pubs like the Claddagh Ring, as well as Citizens Advice Bureau. The main campus of Middlesex University is based in Hendon.
