Finding the Best Things about Camberwell
Camberwell is located in the London borough of Southwark, predominantly in the SE5 postcode. The history of the area dates back to the times of the Domesday Book and references have been noted by historians. Those who are interested in culture will enjoy the various galleries and art spaces which are available, from the Camberwell College of Arts, the South London Gallery through to the Blue Elephant theatre. Because of this, a number of notable residents have art careers, including Ian Iqbal Rashid and Florence Welch. The Camberwell public baths are also a noted attraction for those in the area. The area is treated to the same excellent public transport links which are afforded most of London. Nearby stations include Loughborough Junction, Denmark Hill and others, providing access to the national rail network. As well as this, connections to the Bakerloo line have been planned for a very long time and it is currently thought that construction will soon begin in order to connect this area with the many locations around the capital city.
